**Trade tokens directly — without leaving your Vault, and without risking your assets.**

With Locked Money, you don’t need to connect to an exchange or move funds into another wallet just to make a trade. You can swap tokens directly from inside your Vault — all while staying fully self-custodial a💡 **Why It’s Safer with Locked Money**

Traditional swaps through hot wallets can expose your assets to:

* Malicious contracts
* Front-running bots
* Drainer links
* Accidental approvals

When swapping from your Vault:

* Multi-signature approval is required
* The AI Co-Signer checks for risks before you approve
* Your private keys and assets never leave your control

When swapping from an external Wallet (like MetaMask):

* You still manage your own approvals
* Cross-chain swaps are currently available

Swapping through your Vault gives the **highest level of security**, but you always stay fully in control, whichever method you choose.

🪜 **How to Swap Using Locked Money**

1. **Choose Origin**\
   Select whether you want to swap **from your Vault** or **from your connected external Wallet**.
2. **Click “Swap”**\
   This opens the built-in swapping tool inside Locked Money.
3. **Set Origin and Destination**\
   Pick both:

* Origin: Vault or Wallet
* Destination: Vault, Wallet, or any external address

Cross-chain swaps are supported today when using Wallets.\
Vaults will support cross-chain swaps once multi-chain Vault functionality is live.

4. **Select Tokens**\
   Choose the token you want to swap from and the token you want to receive.\
   Example:\
   From: ETH\
   To: USDC\
   Currently available on Base Network — more chains coming soon.
5. **Enter the Amount**\
   Decide how much you want to trade.\
   You’ll see estimated output, slippage, and gas costs.\
   Advanced users can adjust slippage settings and route preferences.
6. **Confirm the Transaction**\
   Click **Create Transaction**.

* For Vaults: The swap request will wait for required multi-signature approvals.
* For Wallets: The swap will proceed through your connected Wallet normally.

7. **Approve the Swap**

* Vaults require all configured signers + AI Co-Signer review for added safety.
* Wallet swaps require only your Wallet signature.

Once approvals are complete, the swap executes.

Your swapped tokens will automatically appear in the selected Vault or Wallet.\
You can track everything transparently on-chain or right inside Locked Money.
